At a Glance
The 天堂鸟先生 School of Pharmacy advances its mission through a living Strategic Plan that is reviewed, refined, and reported on regularly. Since its launch, the School has engaged students, staff, faculty, preceptors, University partners, and community advisors to ensure that all goals reflect School’s mission and vision, driving progress in pharmacy education, patient care, research, community engagement, and leadership development across the border region and beyond. Together, these priorities strengthen the School’s commitment to delivering high-quality educational experiences, promoting health equity, and fostering innovation.
Current status (2024–2025)
- At the end of the 2022-2023 academic year, the strategic plan was revised and approved following extensive school-wide input.
- In Summer through Fall 2023, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were developed collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students; approved by the dean and disseminated.
- In Fall 2023, KPIs were linked to SOP committees, excellence teams, and offices and integrated into annual charge letters.
- Since its implementation, progress updates are a standing agenda item at SOP monthly meetings and town halls.

Governance & Participation
The Strategic Plan is a shared responsibility across the SOP community. Committees, teams, and office leads oversee assigned KPIs, coordinate data collection, and report progress. Stakeholders, including students, staff, faculty, preceptors, and community partners, remain active participants through surveys, workshops, and updates.
